David Wilson buyers often seem to come to me with a slightly longer wish list. It is not just, “Can you make the TV work?” It is more often, “Can you make the lounge look right, give us a bedroom feed, sort the satellite if we need it, and tell us honestly what is worth doing now?” I like those jobs, because they suit a careful approach.
I’m Geoff Price, and I cover Exeter, East Devon and the surrounding patch. David Wilson Homes continues to market homes through its Exeter and Devon pages, with Exeter, Pinhoe and East Budleigh remaining active local search areas and schemes such as Hampton Mill part of its wider Devon picture. In practical terms, that means plenty of people moving into smart new houses and wanting the television side finished to the same standard as the rest of the property.
That might be a new aerial, a loft aerial properly powered and checked, a Freesat dish fitted neatly, or extra signal points where they will actually be used. Sometimes the real priority is a television mounted cleanly in the main room and tuned properly so the house starts to feel settled. If your move is on the Exeter side, my Exeter aerials page is relevant as well.

Planning the TV side properly in a David Wilson home
One thing I notice with David Wilson properties is that the room layouts often encourage people to think ahead. A nice lounge wall, an open-plan kitchen area, a study that may double as a snug, or an upstairs room that could do with a second feed all make sense to plan together. It is usually easier, cleaner and better value to sort those points out in one go than to keep revisiting the house every few months.
I can install a new aerial, fit and align a Freesat dish, add extra signal points and make sure the televisions are actually tuned and working before I leave. If the house suits a loft aerial, I will say so. If it doesn’t, I will not try to force one just because it sounds convenient. I would rather give straightforward advice than create a problem that comes back to annoy you later.
TV wall mounting and home cinema without the fuss
Quite a few David Wilson customers ask me to handle the room finish as well as the reception. That may mean mounting the main television, positioning a soundbar sensibly, hiding visible cables where practical and helping create a simple home cinema setup that looks clean rather than cluttered. It does not need to be over the top to make a room feel much better.

Most people appreciate that honesty, particularly during a move when there are enough decisions already flying around.
Extra room feeds and a setup that grows with the house
Many new-build customers do not yet know exactly how every room will be used. A spare room becomes a nursery, a study becomes a guest room, or the second reception room turns into a snug. Adding the right points now can save a lot of messing around later and gives you more freedom as the house settles into real life.
If you are buying nearer the estuary, coast or East Devon side, my Exmouth Aerials page may also be worth a look. I cover both city-side and coastal jobs and I am happy to advise honestly on the best route.
